MR. TOPPING HAS BEEN A MENTOR TO THE MARAUDERBOTS FOR THREE YEARS. HE FINDS THAT THE BEST PART OF MENTORING IS SEEING THE STUDENTS WORK THROUGH PROBLEMS AS THEY ARISE. HIS FAVORITE PART OF BEING A TEAM MENTOR IS SEEING STUDENTS WORK TOGETHER TOWARDS A COMMON GOAL. THIS YEAR HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MARAUDERBOTS BUILD A BOT THAT IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND CAN QUALIFY FOR STATES. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN ENGINEERING GROWING UP ON A FARM, IT TAUGHT HIM HOW MACHINES ARE CONSTRUCTED. MR. TOPPING IS ALSO INVOLVED WITH THE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD TEAM AND SUPPORTING HIS CHILDREN WITH THEIR SPORTS.
